09/27/04 - Lead vocalist Pat McGill and the other members have decided to part ways. Pat, an original member of Tweeter, will be pursuing other interests. Coming into the band to replace Pat is Cornwall native Rodney Rivette. Rod, a longtime friend of Ed, has extensive vocal range and strength. Rod also brings many other assets to the group. He is both a multi-talented musician (drums, guitar, bass) as well as an experienced audio engineer. The band will no doubt sound their best with Rod carving the mix and leading the show. The new lineup, Tweeter 12, will debut Saturday, October 2nd at Tons Sports Bar in Potsdam.
09/11/04 - Lots of news of late in the World of Tweeter. Lead vocalist and long time friend Pat McGill (aka Phat McGay) and the band have parted ways for irreconcilable differences. Pat began with the group early in its infancy and was part of the Friendly Tavern days where the band formed their early roots. Pat later moved to Indiana and returned to Massena and rejoined the band several years later. You may view Pat's full bio in the "Band Info" section. The band members wish him the best with all his new endeavors. Surprisingly enough, Tweeter will be returning to their early roots as they head back to the Friendly Tavern, or shall we say "Picky’s Tavern" at 260 E. Orvis St. in Massena. Starting Friday, Sept. 24th, Tweeter will be playing every other Friday night! The interior of the building has undergone many improvements in the last few years, however the nostalgia of Tweeter at the Friendly will be sure to be there. The band looks forward to seeing many old friends as well as meeting new ones. The band is currently auditioning lead vocalists from the US and Canada and will be sure to keep you posted of upcoming developments. There will be many fall concert dates added to the calendar shortly so stay posted. Our agent is working tirelessly to complete the fall/winter tour schedule. Be sure not to miss the Tweeter Halloween dates including Charlies Tavern on Saturday, Oct. 30th, and Halloween Night as Tweeter becomes their alter-ego "Drankenstein" at the Massena Springs Tavern on Oct. 31st. Both parties will be sure to be a blast! And let us not forget the deaths of all the innocent victims of the tragedy of September 11th, 2001, only three years ago. Our hearts go out to all of their families and friends. Please check back regularly for more exciting Tweeter news. TWEET ON!
05/13/04 - Things have been going well for the band. The Thursday night rehearsals at the Springs have brought the band to closer level both musically and personally. The guys thank Big Pat for everything, but they will now be rehearsing in a more personal environment as they refresh their repertoire, while only playing on weekends where they will be able to showcase the new material for their fans. The "Tweeter X-Rated Tour" went incredibly well as the guys entertained packed houses for much of the tour and in one case record breaking liquor sales at Charlie's Tavern! Jagermeister has been more than generous with their endorsement of products at the shows, and the band thanks them for that. The band has picked up many new fans during the tour and a special thanks goes out to Kerry for making sure everyone is out to party on a regular basis! Thanks to Rochelle at The Gandy Dancer's Rest (a Tavern in Norwood, NY) for her hospitality. Another beautiful place the band performed was the Santa Clara Lodge in St. Regis Falls. What beautiful country, and what great people! Check the schedule for upcoming shows at the Lodge, and other venues. It appears that hell has froze over... yes, the boys will be back at George's Tavern and happy to entertain there once again as it has been over 2 years since their last performance at George's. There will soon be a complete line of Tweeter merchandise available at the shows as well as an upcoming, most-anticipated studio CD. The band is also in the planning stages for the 1st Annual Tweeterfest to be held this summer. So many neat things to come... Check back regularly for updates, and be sure to stop by and say hello to the band over Memorial Day Weekend at Coles Creek State Park campsite.
02/12/04 – Things are really heating up. The band has been working on a lot of new material and they are sounding 'HOT' despite the cold weather. With new floor-packers such as "Swing, Swing" of American Wedding notoriety, and "Stacy's Mom", the vibe will definately be fresh! Do not miss Tweeter for the Vanentine's Day show at Tons Sports Bar in Potsdam this Saturday. It's Valentines Day people, so bring your favorite Valentine, or if you don't have one, come and look for one. Always a good selection of singles at Tons. The reels will be rollin' as Tweeter records the show for a future "Tweeter Live" CD release, as well as some video footage which will be added to the website. Be sure to make lots of noise for them. Tons Sports Bar is the kick-off of a nine week "TWEETER X-RATED TOUR" sponsored by Jagermeister, with appearances in Ogdensburg, Massena, Potsdam, Hogansburg, and more destinations being added. Be sure to view the Schedule page reguarly for updates, and please visit the Jagermeister website at www.jager.com. It has been confirmed that Tweeter will be rehearsing new material every Thursday at Massena Springs Tavern, 9pm-1am, beginning Thurs. Feb. 19th.
